The Short Version: Chromify is designed to be private. We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos. All AI processing happens locally on your device.
1. Data Collection
We believe your memories belong to you. Chromify does not collect, store, share, or sell any personal data.
- No Account Required: You do not need to create an account to use the app.
- No Cloud Uploads: Your photos and videos are processed entirely on your iPhone's Neural Engine. They are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud AI services.
- No Tracking: We do not track your location or usage history.
2. Permissions We Request
To function properly, Chromify requires access to the following system features:
- Photo Library (Read/Write): This allows you to select photos for upscaling and allows the app to save the enhanced result back to your camera roll. We only access the specific items you select.
3. AI & Technology
Chromify uses on-device Machine Learning models (based on Real-ESRGAN and GFPGAN) to enhance your images. Because these models run locally on your hardware:
- Your photos never leave your phone.
- You can use the app offline (without an internet connection).
4. Open Source Libraries
This app utilizes open-source technology to perform image enhancement. We are grateful to the creators of:
